46 Chicago Aldermen Call for RCN Support of CAN TV

Black and Latino caucus leaders, Ald. Howard Brookins and Ald. Danny Solis, along with Ald. Joe Moore, sent a letter signed by 46 Chicago aldermen to RCN cable calling for it to complete an agreement with CAN TV without delay as part of its bid for franchise renewal.

The New York Times (September 4,2011) noted that the issue is "down to the wire," with RCN's already-extended franchise having officially expired on September 30, 2011.
