Program Highlights
  CAN TV provides an open, public space on television, preserving and sharing the cultural, ethnic, and artistic diversity of Chicago. CAN TV Arts gives viewers the chance to take an intimate tour of exhibits at local art museums and galleries. CAN TV's exhibit tours are an opportunity to hear directly from the artist about each piece of work.    
    Meditation of Weapons

The "Meditation of Weapons" exhibit features works by Ukranian artist, Anton Kandinsky, on display at the Ukranian Institute of Modern Art. Kandinsky's work reflects his biting humor and criticisms of contemporary culture. This exhibit runs through May 11, 2008.

Abu Graib Detainee Interview Project

Artist Daniel Heyman interviewed former Iraqi prisoners held at Abu Graib. While the subjects unfolded narratives of humiliation, Heyman drew them and incorporated their testimony into his images. This exhibit runs through May 4th, 2008 at the Depaul University Art Museum.

Czech artist Kateřina Šedá shares over 600 drawings by her 77-year-old grandmother which catalogues the various tools and supplies sold through the Brno Hardware Shop her grandmother managed for over 30 years under communism.
